“We’re bringing a selection of our independent foundries’ fonts to the platform used by millions of people around the world, from students and educators to small businesses, professional designers, and creative teams. The fonts are available to every Canva user, on free and Pro accounts alike.”
“Language is such an important part of how people express their identity and creativity, and in Southeast Asia that means designing across an incredible range of scripts and cultures. By bringing more of these typefaces to Canva, we’re empowering our community to create in the languages they use every day, in a way that feels authentically their own," said Sophie Turner, Southeast Asia Content Lead at Canva.
This partnership is a chance to give people the tools to communicate across languages while maintaining a coherent visual voice. “With these families, designers can move between Thai and Latin, for instance, without losing the character of the design,” said Jo.
The typefaces in this collection take different approaches to that challenge, from families built specifically for Southeast Asian scripts to typefaces that bring multiple writing systems together under one typographic voice.
