Samantha Grimsley-Franklin is the first voice you hear when you call Font Bureau. “That would be me!” So, how did you find out about Font Bureau? I heard about Font Bureau through a really good friend of mine, Sam Collins. He was also a good friend of Sam Berlow, the general manager. It wasn’t until a few years later, in 1998 that I called Sam and was then hired full time. What do you do at Font Bureau? I mainly do sales and administration. I speak with a lot of our clients. I’ve heard you say over the years, “I love my job”. Can you explain that more? There are million reasons why - but mostly it’s the atmosphere, the people. You know I never actually thought people bought fonts until I got to Font Bureau. What are your interests or hobbies? I like to cook. I can cook just about anything, or at least try to cook just about anything. I also love to read. When you are not at Font Bureau, what do you do? Now when would that be? I have my family - my husband and three children. What’s a fun fact you’d like to share about yourself? In another life, I’d be a crime detective. I like to figure things out. You must like all the detective shows on TV now. Oh, yeah. I love them. If I could watch them all at once I would. Is there anything else that you’d like to share? I’m a news junkie.
