Jim Parkinson

Jim’s magazine logo designs include Newsweek, Rolling Stone, Esquire, El Graphico, Men’s Journal, and InStyle. His newspaper nameplate designs include The Charlotte Observer, Montreal Gazette, Chicago Tribune, Detroit Free Press, Los Angeles Times, and The Wall Street Journal. He has drawn display typefaces for a number of publications including Rolling Stone, Chicago Tribune, Newsweek, San Francisco Chronicle, Staten Island Advance and National Post. Jim was one of the designers of ITC Bodoni and designed the logo for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. In addition to the the fonts he has designed for the Font Bureau, Jim has designed several dozen more retail fonts published by Parkinson Type Design and available from various font distributors.
